Jorko on the victory over Team Vitality at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026: “I still can’t believe it.”
Team Liquid’s new sniper, Georgi “Jorko” Mitev, reflected on the victory over Team Vitality in an interview at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 and also spoke about settling into the team.
On the match against Team Vitality
I still can’t believe it. ZywOo and flameZ played amazingly, especially flameZ on Nuke. I really still can’t believe it because they’re a very good team—they’re tough to play against. They’re at the very top, and this was my first official match for Team Liquid.
On joining Team Liquid
It’s a real pleasure to be part of such a prestigious organization and to play alongside such experienced players and coaches. I’m very grateful for this opportunity.
On the role of the rifler
Being able to play as a rifler is important because you can’t always afford to buy a sniper rifle. There are very close games—sometimes you win a round, sometimes you lose—so you can’t buy one every time. I try to practice my aim and shoot aggressively. As a young player, firepower is important to me.
On fitting in with the team
Absolutely everyone on the team helps me. I’m grateful to them all, but I feel like I get a little more help from EliGE in particular. I can always turn to him—and to the others, of course—but I’ve spent the most time with him.
Earlier, Team Liquid swept Team Vitality in the online stage of BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2. On Anubis, Johnny “JT” Theodosiou’s team defeated their opponents 13–10, and they repeated that success on Nuke with a 13–9 victory. As a result, the “Bees” were eliminated from the championship, finishing in 17th–32nd place.
