Boombl4 on the map pick change: “Overpass is the worst competitive map that has ever existed.”

BetBoom Team captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov.

BetBoom Team captain Kirill “Boombl4” Mikhailov shared his first impressions of the updated bomb defusal mechanics in Counter-Strike 2 in a vlog on the club’s YouTube channel, and also commented on Cache’s return to the competitive map pool.

On the new bomb defusal mechanics

Well, the visuals and sound effects are good. But as for how it feels and how it will affect the game, we need to test it. We haven’t played it much yet, so we need to run some practice matches, but that’ll be next season. Right now, we just need to give it our all in this tournament.

On Cache’s return

I like the map because I’ve already played it professionally during my career. But that was a long time ago, and I wasn’t the captain back then, so this will be something new for me. So, I really like the map and I’m glad they brought it back to the map pool. I’m also glad it’s replacing Overpass, because I think Overpass is the worst competitive map that’s ever existed. I’d even say Vertigo was better.
