On the night of October 1, Valve released an update for Counter-Strike 2 that fixed texture overlay issues on “Assault” mode maps and made changes to the crosshair settings.

- Added an option to customize the reticle outline color.
- Added a new “Static Quadrant” style.
- The grenade sight is now enabled during freeze time—this will make it easier to use instant smoke grenades.
- Negative offset values are now allowed for the classic dynamic crosshair.
- The transparency adjustment increment for the classic dynamic crosshair has been changed to 0.01.
- The sight import code format has been updated to account for the new parameters.
- Scale and dot color settings are now included in the new crosshair import code.
The previous Counter-Strike 2 update was released on September 29—at that time, the developers fixed pixel gaps on “Assault” mode maps and adjusted textures in the terrorist and counter-terrorist strongholds.
