FACEIT will update its ban rules
The FACEIT tournament platform announced on its official page on social media platform X that it will be making changes to its ban policy starting in Season 9.
With the start of Season 9 on August 5, changes to FACEIT’s ban policy will take effect.
Longer bans will be issued for the use of cheats, smurfing, stream sniping, and repeated violations. At the same time, the context of the violation will be given greater consideration when determining the length of the penalty, and harmless jokes and insults will be less likely to result in sanctions.
Earlier, it was reported that Team Spirit rifler Danil “donk” Kryshkovets has remained the leader of the FACEIT rankings for 46 days during Season 8. The esports player climbed to 5,304 Elo, surpassing the previous leader by 510 points and posting a 1.67 K/D ratio.
