Lynn Vision Gaming coach Dai “Gum” Yufei shared his thoughts in an interview at BLAST Open Porto 2026 on his team’s loss to Team Falcons, compared the “Falcons” to FUT Esports, and assessed the play of European teams.
On the match against Team Falcons
In the match against the Falcons, our counter-strategies really helped us—they accounted for 50% of our success, while the other half was due to our team’s strong performance. If we had been able to fully execute our game plan, we would have easily won on Dust2 and closed out the series in our favor. Unfortunately, my players made a lot of mistakes the day before yesterday. I hope we’ll perform better today.
On the difference between Team Falcons and FUT Esports
Falcons players often follow their captain’s calls in the middle of rounds. Karrigan has a very unique style that requires careful preparation. FUT, on the other hand, is a systematic team that calls for a different approach.
On European teams
European teams are much more experienced and stronger than their Asian counterparts. Even in very difficult situations, their players make the best decisions. To compete with such opponents, you need to regularly participate in major tournaments and be confident on the server.
Lynn Vision Gaming lost to Team Falcons in the group stage of the BLAST Open Porto 2026 with a map score of 1–2 (4–13 on Inferno, 13–10 on Ancient, and 9–13 on Dust2). The team is now facing FUT Esports in a knockout match to determine who will be eliminated from the tournament.
