Rifler 9z Team’s Luciano “luchov” Herrera spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about returning to his old mouse and commented on the victory over PARIVISION in the opening match of Stage 3.
On the victory over PARIVISION and switching back to his old mouse
Yesterday I switched mice because I had switched to a different one before this stage. I wasn’t feeling great, I didn’t feel confident, so I decided to go back to my old mouse. I think that gave me a lot of confidence. Besides, we prepared these maps a lot. We knew we’d be playing them, so we worked hard on them. I know the team felt good, and our communication was top-notch, so I think that’s the most important thing.
On the performance on Overpass
Yeah, that was my best map. And, I think, the best first half of a map in CS2. I don’t know. I think their playstyle just suits me better.
On the comeback on Inferno
The start was tough. We lost the eco. But I have to say that the team didn’t lose hope for a second after losing that round.
Earlier, 9z Team defeated PARIVISION 2-1 in the first round of Stage 3 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. Today, Luciano “luchov” Herrera’s team is set to face Team Vitality in the 1-0 bracket.
