Team Falcons sniper Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov shared his thoughts in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 following the match against G2 Esports, and also praised his team captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen and rifler Maxim “kyousuke” Lukin.
On the match against G2 Esports
We played great in overtime. Finn did an excellent job pushing the attack, and Maxim also played well, taking control of mid. I’d say Maxim and Finn are incredible players.
On the team’s mindset at the tournament
I’m incredibly pumped to play every match here at the Major. From the very first match, ever since we arrived here, you can see in everyone’s eyes just how much we want to play.
On G2 Esports’ tactics
Each of us understands how the other plays; we expect them to do certain things. So I’m glad we won this match.
Earlier, Team Falcons defeated G2 Esports in the first round of IEM Cologne Major 2026 Stage 3. On Inferno, Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s team lost a close match 10-13, but took Dust2 (13-8). The decisive Ancient map went to the “Falcons” — 16-13.
