Team Spirit captain Boris “magixx” Vorobyov, in an interview at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, reflected on his team’s recent results, discussed his personal form and the Easter egg on the Mirage map, and shared the “Dragons’” expectations for this tournament.
At IEM Rio 2026, we showed for the first time that we’re capable of playing well, and we tried to carry that momentum into the following tournaments. Then our team won PGL Astana 2026 and came within a step of reaching the Major finals. After the summer break, it was important to maintain our momentum, and we succeeded—starting in July, we’ve won two major events.
I play CS much more than most people. For this reason, it’s important for me not only to talk more than anyone else, but also to keep an eye on the situation on the server and my opponents’ actions. I don’t worry too much about my individual play—sometimes I’m good at clicking the left mouse button and making a difference.
I thought Valve didn’t care about highlights—it’s been an eternity since the last graffiti was added. Two generations of players have come and gone on the pro scene, and everyone thought the developers wouldn’t be doing this anymore. Still, I’m glad they immortalized my clutch play. I still remember the day I woke up and saw a few cans in the “kitchen.”
We really need to start playing better. Maybe this tournament will give us some confidence heading into the Major in Singapore. If we can perform well here, we’ll be able to carry that same form into the remaining events. There are three championships left until the end of the year, and this is one of them. We just need to get into a rhythm and play well.
Team Spirit lost to BetBoom Team in their first match at PGL Masters Bucharest 2026 with a 1-2 map score (13-10 on Anubis, 3-13 on Ancient, 14-16 on Mirage). The “Dragons” are currently in the 1-1 bracket.
