The MongolZ rifler Ayush “mzinho” Batbold spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about the team’s preparations for the tournament, their work at bootcamp, and the team’s goals for the championship.
On the team’s form
Everything is going well with the team. We had a bootcamp before the Major, so we’re feeling confident here.
On bootcamp
At bootcamp, we worked out every detail, created new tactics, and worked hard on communication.
On goals for the tournament
We’re not in as good of shape right now as we were at PGL Astana 2026. My goal is to at least make it to the playoffs.
On confidence and opponents
We don’t care who we play against. We’re just trying to win and take home the trophy.
Right now, The MongolZ is playing its debut match in the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 against BetBoom Team. The winner of the match will advance to the 1:0 bracket of the Swiss system, while the losing team will drop to the 0:1 bracket.
