nicoodoz on settling in at Phantom Esports: “This team’s aggressive style suits me.”

Phantom Esports sniper Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi shared his thoughts in an interview on Stake Ranked Episode 3 following the victory over paiN Gaming, and also discussed his move to the new team and how he’s adjusting there.
On the match against paiN Gaming
We got off to a rough start on Dust2 and lost a lot of open duels on the attack. Even in post-plant situations, we couldn’t close out the game. However, after the side switch, our team pulled it together. We picked up a good rhythm on defense and, despite losing the first map, continued to outplay paiN on Anubis and Nuke. The most important thing in CS is to kill your opponents. I think we did a great job with that.
On joining Phantom Esports
Phantom invited me very recently, during a break. When I saw the roster, I was immediately interested—these Polish players are very strong individually, and I’d crossed paths with TMB not too long ago in Preasy and ECSTATIC.
On settling into the team
This team’s aggressive style suits me well. Plus, my teammates trust my calls—both on offense and defense. I think we’ve gelled really well. We have good communication and a pleasant atmosphere on the server.
Phantom Esports defeated paiN Gaming in their debut match at Stake Ranked Episode 3 with a score of 2:1 (8:13 on Dust2, 13:5 on Anubis, and 13:5 on Nuke). Today, nicoodoz’s team is set to face HEROIC.
