Team Vitality players took to social media to comment on their loss to Team Spirit at the CS2 Esports World Cup 2026 and their elimination from the tournament.

Team Vitality captain Dan “apEX” Madeskler wrote the following:

For the past month and a half, I’ve put all my energy into preparing for this tournament. But I completely failed to perform, and I’m more disappointed than ever.

We’re going through a rough patch right now. You can criticize us—that’s normal—but right now, we need your support more than ever. It’s easy to support the team when it’s winning, so...

Thank you to everyone who was at the arena. You were incredible and deserved better. I didn’t think I’d have to go through this again in France. Thank you all.

For his part, the team’s rifler, William “mezii” Merriman, addressed the fans:

We were eliminated in the quarterfinals, and this loss is especially painful. The support here in Paris was incredible. We wanted to go further and bring this trophy home for you, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out…

Thank you, everyone.

Robin “ropz” Kol admitted that the team didn’t perform well at the tournament:

Unfortunately, we’ve been eliminated from the EWC 2026. It’s a very disappointing end to the tournament.
