Stake Ranked Episode 3 ended yesterday. With the event now over, the top teams and players have been determined, and the maps once again revealed an uneven balance between the sides. The main figures and key metrics of the tournament are detailed below.
Nuke was the most frequently played map of the event, selected 10 times. Ancient took second place in popularity (6 matches), while Cache came in third, hosting 5 matches. The maps least favored by teams during the event were Inferno, Dust2, Mirage, and Anubis—they were picked 4, 4, 4, and 2 times, respectively. As for the side balance, the attacking side dominated on nearly all maps this time, with the exception of Inferno, Mirage, and Nuke: on the first, the attacking side’s advantage was 1.2%; on the second, 8.8%; and on the third, 12.2%.
Martin “stavn” Lund led the individual statistics for Stake Ranked Episode 3—the sniper played 10 maps with an average rating of 1.29. In second place was Alexey “xeedo” Mikulich of K27 with a rating of 1.23. Next on the list were Daniil “qw1nk1” Kabilov of K27 (1.2), Linus “nilo” Bergman of HEROIC (1.19), Kasper “Kylar” Valukevich of Phantom Esports (1.18), Kasper “xKacpersky” Gabara of Ninjas in Pyjamas (1.12), and Nemanja “nEMANHA” Djukic of Wildcard (1.12). Rounding out the top eight was Antonio “Martinez” Martinez Sanchez of HEROIC, whose final rating was 1.11 over 12 maps.
Ninjas in Pyjamas emerged as the most successful team of the tournament, with an average team rating of 1.09. Just behind the “Ninjas” were the event champions, HEROIC, and K27, who lost in the grand final, finishing the championship with ratings of 1.07 and 1.06, respectively.
Stake Ranked Episode 3 took place from July 15 to 18 in Barcelona. The championship began directly with the playoffs, which used a double-elimination system. Eight teams participated in the event, and its total prize pool was $100,000.
