Team Falcons and Aurora Gaming won their matches at the IEM Cologne Major 2026

Team Falcons defeated Monte, while Aurora Gaming proved stronger than G2 Esports in the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026.
In the first match, Team Falcons defeated Monte 2-1 (13-9 on Inferno, 11-13 on Dust2, and 13-10 on Mirage). In a parallel match, Aurora Gaming faced off against G2 Esports. Engin “MAJ3R” Kupeli’s team defeated the “Samurai” on both maps of the series—13-8 on Overpass and 13-7 on Anubis.
Thus, Team Falcons and Aurora Gaming were sent to the relegation bracket with a 2-1 record, while Monte and G2 Esports will play elimination matches tomorrow to stay in the Major.
The IEM Cologne Major 2026 is taking place from June 2 to 21 in Cologne, Germany. Thirty-two teams are competing in the tournament to determine the eight playoff participants. The total prize pool for the Major is $1,250,000.
