The national teams of Indonesia and Vietnam have qualified for the 2026 Esports Nations Cup from Southeast Asia

The Southeast Asia qualifiers for the 2026 Esports Nations Cup concluded today, with the national teams of Indonesia and Vietnam/the Philippines defeating their opponents in the finals to earn spots in the main event.
In the grand final of the qualifying event, the Indonesian national team defeated the Vietnamese national team. On the first map, Mirage, the Indonesians confidently pulled ahead, winning 13–1. On the decisive map, Ancient, the team led by Andre “WasteOfAmmo” Joshua Poluakan once again proved stronger than their opponent and sealed the match with a 13-4 victory.
The final match of the tournament’s lower bracket, in turn, began on Mirage, where the Philippine national team defeated the Vietnamese national team 13–5. Next up was Inferno, where the Vietnamese managed to stage a comeback, winning 16–14. The decisive map was Ancient, where Nguyen Cong Hoang “Sylvain” An’s team was able to close out the series in their favor (13–9).

The Southeast Asia qualifiers for the 2026 Esports Nations Cup took place online on July 19. The decisive matches, which used a double-elimination system, were played in a best-of-3 format. The national teams from Indonesia and Vietnam secured their spots in the main event following their victories.
