“This is the beginning of something bigger for us”—9z Team members reacted to their victory at the XSE Pro League 2026

In an interview at the XSE Pro League 2026, the players and coach of 9z Team shared their emotions after defeating PARIVISION in the tournament final.
Maximiliano “max” Gonzalez spoke about his journey to his first trophy:
I can’t believe we’ve become champions. I’ve been waiting for this moment since 2020, when I first joined 9z. I want to thank my teammates for always listening to me. I’m glad I won with these guys in particular. Thanks to my family and the Chinese fans for their support!
Coach Bruno “BIT” Fukuda Lima assessed 9z Team’s performance at the XSE Pro League 2026:
Our team played a lot, trained a lot, and talked a lot about Counter-Strike. We understand each other perfectly. I think we managed to perform excellently at this tournament.
Rifleman Luciano “luchov” Herrera highlighted his team’s cohesive play:
I really enjoy playing on this team. Together, we’ve achieved incredible results. I remember how, even in our very first tournaments, everyone played very cohesively. We’ve maintained that chemistry and showed today what we’re truly capable of. I’m very happy about the victory.
For his part, Matías “HUASOPEEK” Ibáñez thanked the Chinese fans for their support:
A big thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the tournament. I’m happy to win our first trophy here in China.
Sniper Ignacio “meyern” Meyer celebrated the victory and reflected on the future of 9z Team:
I’m speechless. I’m so happy to finally become a champion. We truly deserved this victory because we gave it our all in every match. 9z is the best team I’ve ever been a part of. I think this is the beginning of something bigger for us.
Earlier, 9z Team defeated PARIVISION in the XSE Pro League 2026 final with a 3-0 map score. The team claimed the LAN event championship and received $260,000 in prize money. Matias “HUASOPEEK” Ibáñez was named the tournament’s MVP.
