Voting has begun on FACEIT for an additional map for Season 9
The FACEIT tournament platform has announced the launch of a user vote in honor of the upcoming start of Season 9. Players were asked to choose one additional bomb-planting map to be added to the official competitive matchmaking pool.
The organizers have presented a list of five options, divided into two categories. The list includes three classic maps already familiar to the community from the official Counter-Strike map pool, as well as two brand-new community-created maps. The maps up for vote are Vertigo, Train, Boulder, Fachwerk, and Overpass. The map that receives the most user votes will be added to the platform’s matchmaking system. This selection will be available as an optional ban pick, and the standard Elo scoring system will be active in matches played on it. You can vote on a special page on the platform.
Season 9 on FACEIT begins on August 5, 2026. On the same day, the map that wins the poll will officially be added to the competitive mode pool. This change applies exclusively to matches on the FACEIT platform and is not related to any changes to Valve’s official map pool.
