Dota 2 developers have banned Meepo due to a critical bug

A bug was discovered in Dota 2 that allowed players to infinitely obtain Town Portal Scrolls when a Meepo clone interacted with the inventory, causing the hero to be temporarily unavailable for picking. The voidsploit team published information about the in-game bug on its Telegram channel.
The bug is related to a synchronization error involving items between the main Meepo, his clones, the stash, and the backpack. When a Town Portal Scroll is moved between the inventory and the stash, the system incorrectly duplicates instances of the item and fails to properly update the total number of charges.
After any of the clones uses the teleportation ability, a recalculation occurs, causing all scrolls held by the main hero to receive the same number of charges and effectively “multiply.” As a result, a player can repeat the process, filling their inventory and backpack with additional scrolls, and then sell the obtained Town Portal Scrolls for gold.
Earlier, the Dota 2 developers posted a news update on the game’s official page listing all the bugs and errors fixed in the game since the release of the “Dark Carnival” in-game event and Patch 7.41d.
