For the first time in the history of The International, no Chinese teams will advance to the playoffs.

With the conclusion of the group stage of The International 2026, the eight teams advancing to the playoffs have been determined, and not a single Chinese team is among them.

For the first time in the history of The International series, no team from China will compete in the playoffs. LGD Gaming was the last organization from the Chinese region to be eliminated from the tournament, losing to Team Yandex in the elimination matches.

The main stage of The International 2026 will take place at the Shanghai East Sports Center from August 20 to 23. The eight remaining teams will compete for the Champion’s Aegis, and the current prize pool for the tournament exceeds $3,062,000.
