LGD Gaming coach Igor “kaffs” Furtado posted on X, summarizing the season for the team.
It’s been a very disappointing season. But we’re largely to blame ourselves, because we’re often the architects of our own fate.
I’m disappointed. We messed everything up. It seems to me that throughout the year, we created unnecessary problems for ourselves too often, which made everything much more difficult than it needed to be. Of course, the fact that HEROIC dropped us and the situation with TaiLung didn’t help us at all, but I’m trying to focus on the things I could control myself.
I’m glad we at least managed to qualify for TI this year and put up a real fight. This tournament is truly special, especially considering it’s taking place in China.
Speaking for myself, it hurts a lot to see everything I’ve built over the last three seasons gradually crumble right before my eyes. We were so close…
To the fans who expected more from us, I want to offer my sincere apologies. And a huge thank you to LGD for believing in our team and sticking with us through this entire difficult period. A special thanks to Topson, who almost single-handedly carried us to the playoffs.
I don’t know what lies ahead for me, since there’s nothing I can do to change the situation right now. But the dream lives on...
Earlier, LGD Gaming coach Igor “kaffs” Furtado commented on the suspension of Santiago Gustavo “TaiLung” Olivio Agüero from The International 2026 and PGL tournaments: “This whole situation is too sad, and it has really knocked me off my feet.”
