Team Spirit support player Alexey “not me” Kosmyinin, following the team’s victory at PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE, assessed the team’s performance and his own play, and also commented on Bogdan “Batyuk” Batyuk. The interview was published on the team’s Telegram channel.
We had some good drafts; I’d say we felt comfortable.
We’d been struggling with Gyrocopter against Enigma ourselves, and it just wasn’t working out for us. [In the second game of the grand final, Team Yandex picked Gyrocopter against Enigma from Team Spirit. — Ed.].
Bodian played really well in this tournament. Batyuk—no one would argue—is probably the MVP of the tournament. In every game, he just gave it his all, creating opportunities—a lot of them. It’s hard to really compare him to other players… Right now, he’s the top player in this tournament. But overall, it’s tough to make that comparison.
It’ll do—a five out of ten, I guess. I adjusted my play a little: I was a bit less aggressive in some areas and ran less on my own in others. It’s fine, it’ll do. <...> All the games were pretty straightforward. We had a good draft in many of the games we won.
Team Spirit became the PARI UNIVERSE by FISSURE champion on November 1, defeating Team Yandex 3–0 in the grand final. This is the team’s first title of the new season. Batyuk has been playing for Team Spirit since the fall: he took the place of Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov, who went on leave.
