Team Spirit support player Alexey “not me” Kosmyinin spoke about the meta and shared how he joined the team in an interview at The International 2026.
Overall, I like the meta, but I don’t like how dominant Drow Ranger, Shadow Fiend, and Lone Druid are right now—they’re completely sweeping their lanes. I don’t like that, but otherwise, I’m comfortable with it.
I watched more because of the level of Dota 2 than for any specific title. I didn’t think I’d end up here; I just enjoyed watching how people played.
I was playing for Yellow Submarine; we were competing in some tournament, and Diman [Korb3n] messaged me saying, “Here’s the deal: we have an unexpected substitution, so we can invite you to test out the team.” He said it was all up to me: choose for yourself whether you want to or not—that’s it.
For me, this title doesn’t mean anything special—it’s not something unattainable or anything like that. I think it’s just a micro-goal. It’s not something you should get too excited about.
Earlier, Team Spirit offlaner Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov spoke in an interview at The International 2026 about Alexey “not me” Kosmyinin’s preparations, the team’s results following TI 2025, and the team’s adaptation to the current meta.
