L1GA TEAM (HULIGANI) support Oleg “sayuw” Kalenbet commented on his team’s elimination from the tournament in an interview at The International 2026.

On the elimination

Yeah, really, why get disappointed?! We’ve still got a lot of great games ahead of us. Yeah, we’re out, but that’s no reason to be upset. We’ve still got a whole season ahead of us—this season is over.

On the loss to OG

In the first game, they shut us down on the lanes. We also struggled with our pick phase. We played poorly as a team in the first game. In the second game, as you saw, we won—meaning we played the lanes better and had a better strategy. But in the third game, we made a mistake with our hero picks and a mistake early on: we wanted to kill Enigma to improve our lane. Because of that, our soft lane suffered, and so they started diving us hard in the bot lane, even though we were hoping our Drow would be “big.” Somehow they just wore us down, and we couldn’t pull it together. We tried, we hung in there—we had a plan to stay away from the High Ground—but in the end, it didn’t work out.

On the experience for rookies at TI

Without a doubt, this is a huge experience for the guys for whom this is their first International, because, one way or another, the best teams gather here—teams that have shown very good results throughout the year, winning tournaments and placing highly. So, I think, first and foremost, this is a huge learning experience for the guys who are here for the first time; it’s also food for thought for experienced players, for us—for me, for RESPECT. I think this International will give us a lot in the future.

A Message to the Fans

Thank you, guys, to everyone who supported the “Hooligans.” Yes, we tried to cause a stir at The International, but it didn’t quite work out. We could have played a little better in some areas—maybe even fought for a spot in the playoffs. Even though the result is disappointing, thank you anyway for cheering us on—please keep supporting us in the future. Thank you all, and all the best!

In the group stage, “Liga” lost to Team Yandex (0–2), Vici Gaming (1–2), Xtreme Gaming (0–2), and OG (1–2). To advance, a team must secure at least two wins and then win the decisive match to qualify for the playoffs.
