The average number of online players in Dota 2 increased by 10.25% in June

According to June’s results, the average number of concurrent players in Dota 2 rose by 43,000, while the peak number increased by nearly 200,000. The statistics were compiled by Steam Charts.
On average, there were 466,000 players in Dota 2 this month, which is 10.25% more than in May, and the peak concurrent player count reached 862,639, up from 664,213 previously.
The main reason for the growth was the “Dark Carnival” event, during which Valve introduced automaton skins for Bristleback, Legion Commander, Morphling, Oracle, and Axe, and also launched a new candy shop with updated rewards.
Earlier, statistics were published on the closed regional qualifiers for The International 2026—professional players most frequently selected Tiny, Hoodwink, and Bane, while 30 heroes were not selected even once.
