GamerLegion, Team Resilience, and LGD Gaming emerged victorious in the third set of matches on the third day of the group stage at The International 2026. They defeated OG, Xtreme Gaming, and Vici Gaming, respectively.
In the early and mid-game, Team Resilience held a moderate lead, which the team built upon as the game progressed. By the end of the first map, XG had suffered nearly three times as many hero kills as TR. The second map followed a similar pattern and ended with the same result as the previous one.
GamerLegion proved stronger than OG on both maps of the series. Contrary to the expectations of fans of the Western European club, the Filipino team failed to put up a fight in the elimination match.
On the first map of the LGD vs. VG series, the South American team featuring Topson played with greater confidence. On the second map, the sides were evenly matched, but Igor “kaffs” Furtado’s team held the economic advantage, which ultimately led to their victory.
As a result, Xtreme and OG were eliminated from the competition. LGD’s final record was 3–2, while VG’s was 2–3. They will play a decisive round to determine whether they advance to the playoffs.
The International 2026 is taking place from August 13 to 23, with this year’s prize pool exceeding $3 million—more than in the previous two tournaments in this series. Following the group stage, half of the participants will be eliminated from the championship.
