Fangor after the loss to Verso Time: “We just overcomplicated things ourselves, that’s all. The result was to be expected.”

Virtus.pro stand-in Stanislav “Fangor” Gorin, in an interview at the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7, assessed his team’s performance at the tournament and reflected on the “Bears’” current form and their future plans.
On the performance at MLBB Continental Championships Season 7
As for the season... I don’t know, when I joined, for about a week and a half we were just figuring out, let’s say, how we needed to play, which heroes we felt comfortable picking, and what we needed to build our strategy around. Only then did we start to refine it. Speaking specifically about the playoffs, I’m obviously not happy with the result. I wouldn’t say any of our guys were weaker than the guys from Verso. We just overcomplicated things ourselves, that’s all. The result was to be expected. Apparently, the fact that we’re hasty… We were punished for it.
On Virtus.pro
We’re not at the level [to win], in my opinion. There’s this final, let’s say, group of four teams—us, Verso, Spirit, and Yandex. It’s not a matter of time here, but a matter of gameplay and understanding each other. Everything hinges on that. Time doesn’t matter anymore. Everyone has a lot of experience playing their characters and roles. All we need is to just click together. Apparently, we just clicked worse than Verso. But we can fix that. ...> Our players have exams, and they can’t really concentrate on the game. Roughly speaking, they play Prime, [then] study for exams, Prime, exam, Prime, exam. And this grind just keeps going on and on. Literally, that break we had during the MCC knocked us off our game, and we let our guard down a little bit after that. That’s the result.
On the team’s plans and boot camp
As for future plans, I honestly don’t know. The organization is in charge of that. I don’t have that much contact with Virtus.pro yet. <...> As for bootcamp... We’ll have to split up anyway, because Bober has exams tomorrow and Super Egorka has exams in 2 or 3 days.
Earlier, Virtus.pro lost to Verso Time in the lower bracket final of the MLBB Continental Championships Season 7 with a score of 1-3. Fangor’s team finished the tournament in third place and earned $6,000 in prize money.
