Solitude on Coach Lil: “He gives me a lot of specific advice on plays: how to move around the map, what to prioritize.”

I don’t really like it, but I’m not too picky: if I have to skip farming altogether, I’m ready to skip farming altogether. I even try not to stand near my teammates when they’re farming, so that… We sometimes have a 2,000 gold difference there, but I know I have a massive gold lead. It doesn’t matter to me, but of course, if you ask me, I’d prefer to play core heroes. Well, okay, if we win anyway, then I don’t really care either way.

I’d have to look back at all the games. Today, maybe a 7, I think. Against Team Yandex in the first game... No, actually, okay, a 1, maybe a 2. And the rest, I think, are average—a 4 or 5. I just know I can definitely do better, because there are mid laners I watch who definitely play better. As for the region, I’d say an 8, maybe a 7. No, more like a 7.

I don’t have a ton of experience working with coaches; of the well-known ones, I’ve only worked with Cody Banks, a Filipino coach who’s currently with Bigetron MY by VIT. But I can say that Lil is definitely much better—specifically for me. Maybe the approach just didn’t work out. As for his impact, I think he has a huge one... I know for sure that he does a lot for us—constantly. It turns out we save time because he watches all the replays, explains things to us, suggests ideas on how to do things differently, and points out our mistakes. Specifically, he gives me a lot of play suggestions: how to move around the map, what to prioritize. That’s why I really like how he works with us.

At the start of the season, when things were going so badly, we didn’t take it too seriously—we were a bit disrespectful—but after getting that wake-up call right off the bat, we now prepare individually for every opponent. In other words, it doesn’t matter if it’s Team Spirit or any of the top-8 teams—I won’t single anyone out. We just have the same preparation for everyone.
