Sunset Lover: “We’re going to try to win the World Championship. That’s already a very real possibility.”

Team Spirit mid-laner Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov spoke in an interview during the MLBB Continental Championships Season 8 about the atmosphere and current form of the “Dragons,” shared his thoughts on modifiers, discussed plans for boot camp in Malaysia, and thanked fans for their support.

On the team’s mood and atmosphere

The mood is good. Everything’s going well within the team, too. We’re hanging out, playing, living it up, and aiming for the top spot. Everything’s business as usual.

On Team Spirit’s current form

I don’t know how to assess it. We’re just in good form, I think—that’s all. Our teamwork is solid, we prepare well for drafts, and everyone’s disciplined. That’s why everything’s just falling into place. The combination of factors shows where this is leading.

On modifiers

Turtle—I have no idea what that is. If that Godzilla comes at me in mid… I don’t have any money to begin with, and on top of that, she doesn’t do anything for herself. It’s just 50 gold. They just tossed it at me like this, as if to say: “Take whatever you can.” It also heals like a healer, can even take down a tavern, and these eggs hatch from it. I don’t get it—is this even normal? We’ll see how it goes in the game, because we’re not playing with modifiers on the practice maps yet.

Breeze—well, Breeze is just Breeze. There’s nothing to say about him. Vision—pretty controversial. Most likely the most useless one, I think. Because, for example, if some guy like Marcel is running around and it flies in—who cares? He’s going to give himself away on his own anyway. Against someone like Eidora: I was hiding in the bushes, yeah, and I got spotted. It’ll be annoying, that’s all. But we don’t really hang out in the bushes anyway—we’re moving nonstop. Plus or minus, we all know each other’s rotations, so I think this is a pretty useless modifier.

Gold from towers is also unbalanced in the sense that if you win the laning phase and go to farm, your gold just keeps increasing—and if you overfarm, it goes through the roof. How much did we have before? 14–15 thousand, right? And with this new modifier, it’ll be 20,000—can you believe it? Is that even normal? I don’t think so.

So we’ll see. All of this still needs to be implemented. A modifier is just a modifier—it still needs to be implemented.

On plans for an overseas boot camp

If there’s going to be an overseas bootcamp, it’ll be in Malaysia. Obviously. We all liked Malaysia. Most likely, maybe even the same place, the same apartment where we stayed. Because everything’s great—we have no complaints; it’s totally awesome.

The quality of the practices is good. Again, we play against all the Asian countries: China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore—play against whoever you want.

And in Malaysia, it’s all pros. The food there is great because they hire chefs for us, buy high-quality ingredients, and cook to our preferences—it’s all top-notch. The internet is also super good; it never lags at all. There are absolutely no downsides.

On Fan Support

Thank you to all our fans for cheering us on and supporting us. We’ll continue to delight you with our gameplay, strive to stay at the top, make our mark on the world stage, and try to win the World Championship. That’s already a very real possibility.

A huge thank you to everyone for your support—keep cheering for Team Spirit!
