Natus Vincere captain Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about the team’s challenges and training, and assessed their recent match against 3DMAX.
In terms of communication, it was clear that we hadn’t played official matches in a long time. Sometimes information was relayed too hastily; compared to the practice matches we played at boot camp, things were much calmer back then.
They played excellently in terms of individual skill—we all noticed that.
Our roster has been together for a long time; we took some time off and then went on an extended boot camp, trying not to rush things. During that time, we focused on analyzing our games and doing everything in our power to take another step forward this season.
Earlier today, Natus Vincere advanced to the playoffs of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Counter-Strike 2. The Ukrainian team faced off against The MongolZ, defeating their opponent 2-1 in maps: 13-5 on Inferno, 9-13 on Ancient, and 13-8 on Mirage.
