arT on G2 Esports: “They don’t look like a fully formed team yet.”

Legacy captain Andrey “arT” Piovese spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about the removal of team coach Alan “adrrr” Riveros and the distribution of responsibilities within the roster, as well as assessing G2 Esports’ form.
On the coach’s removal
This brings certain changes, mainly during the game. As for preparation, it’s not that important because he can still talk to us and help us. But he can’t be with us during matches—and that’s the biggest problem. So we need to be more mindful of the pauses: understand when to call a timeout, be more aware of exactly what we’re doing, and try to make adjustments as the game goes on. I think that’s the main issue.
On the division of responsibilities within the team
We also have an analyst. Together, we share the workload of selecting different strategies and preparing new approaches. It all depends on the specific map, what we want to do, or how we want to adapt our playstyle on certain maps depending on the opponent.
On G2 Esports
It seems to me that they look inconsistent—just like we do in this tournament. I’d say they don’t look like a fully formed team yet. Of course, they have much more experience than we do. And they’ve probably been playing together as a roster for longer. But at the same time, our results are similar.
Earlier, Legacy concluded their run at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. In the elimination match, Andrey “arT” Piovessan’s team lost to G2 Esports 0-2 and finished in 12th–14th place, earning $20,000 in prize money.
