arT on joining Legacy: “I’m very grateful for the opportunity to lead a Tier 1 team again”

Legacy captain Andrei “arT” Piovese spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about his transfer to the new team, as well as reflecting on the Brazilian squad’s playstyle and their victory at the CS Asia Championships 2026.
On joining Legacy
I am very grateful for the opportunity to lead a Tier 1 team again and play alongside such skilled players. Counter-Strike is our life. I’m giving it my all so we can deliver solid results, and the guys are helping me out a lot. ...> I never gave up on CS and worked hard at every stage of my career. I just needed a chance to prove myself again. Legacy reached out to me almost immediately after I left Fluxo. Now I’m trying to make the most of this opportunity.
On the team’s playstyle
I’ve completely changed my approach to CS, especially on defense. We follow pre-rehearsed plays, and my players always get support when they stick to the plan. I moved dumau to the entry-fragger role because he’s an excellent shooter and knows how to find open kills. When we control the space, I can often be the first to push… Now our actions depend on the map and the specific situation.
On winning the CS Asia Championships 2026
We understand that the community’s expectations have risen after our best-of-5 victory over the Falcons. However, that match was very close. Our team lost the first map and was close to defeat on Ancient, but ultimately secured the win. Of course, such a result gives us confidence, but we’re not getting carried away or deluding ourselves. We still have room to grow. Right now, we’re trying to put that victory behind us and focus on the upcoming tournaments.
Legacy lost to Natus Vincere on the second day of the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with a score of 0-2 on maps. Today, the Brazilian team will face PARIVISION in a knockout match to determine who advances from the group stage.
