G2 Esports rifler Guy “NertZ” Iluz in an interview at FISSURE PLAYGROUND 3 — CS, commented on the victory over FURIA, spoke about the team’s performance on Ancient and Dust2, and thanked Chinese fans for their support.

On the victory over FURIA

I think it’s all about being proactive in the middle of rounds. That’s what allowed us to figure out what they were doing and what we wanted to do as a team. Sometimes it won’t make sense during a match, but right now it’s working for us, and I feel like that’s exactly what helped us win the match. We were proactive—in other words, we essentially took the initiative ourselves instead of waiting for them to act—so we kept the pressure on them constantly.

On calls on Ancient

huNter- calls for the attacking side, and I call for the defending side. But again, it’s not just about me—the whole team contributes, so I can’t take all the credit. I think everyone brings their own ideas to the table.

On r1nkle’s play on Dust2

He played a big role in why we won Dust2. Playing the open position on Dust2 puts a lot of responsibility on you, but it also gives you a lot of advantages as the game progresses. Today, r1nkle played amazingly.

On Chinese fans

I just want to say: I love you, China. It seems to me that every time I come here, you’re so passionate about what you do. No matter which team comes to play, you cheer for everyone. That’s what makes you special. I really love you all. Thank you so much.
