Legacy captain Andrei “arT” Piovezan spoke in an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026 about his team’s victory over Natus Vincere on the Ancient map, assessed the Brazilian squad’s current position in the VRS rankings, and shared his thoughts on the match against Team Falcons.
On the rout of Natus Vincere on Ancient
Yesterday, everyone on the team put on an excellent individual performance. We prepared very well for Ancient, and during the match we simply stuck to the plan and secured several key rounds. I think our confidence and attention to detail secured the victory for us.
On Legacy’s position in the VRS
Right now, things can change quickly in the VRS rankings. The teams in the top 10 are very close to each other. For example, if we lose today, we could drop a few spots due to our opponents’ wins. Nevertheless, our team has earned its place in the top 6 of the world rankings. We’ll keep fighting and continue to strengthen our position in the VRS.
On the match against Team Falcons
The last time we faced the Falcons was at the CS Asia Championships 2026—back then, they had a new roster following karrigan’s arrival. After that tournament, they began playing a more mature style of CS and went on to win a Major. Our team prepared well for today’s match. We know what the Falcons’ stars are capable of. We just need to play at a high individual level, just like yesterday.
Yesterday, Legacy defeated Natus Vincere in an Esports World Cup 2026 playoff match with a score of 2-0 (13-9 on Inferno and 13-2 on Ancient). Right now, arT is facing off against Team Falcons for a spot in the tournament’s semifinals.
