BASED Esports has announced that it will host its first Tier 1 event in 2028.

Tournament operator BASED Esports announced on its official page on social media platform X that it will host its own Tier 1 championship in October 2028.

According to the announcement, the competition, titled BASED Esports Event #1, will take place from October 18 to 21, 2028. Company representatives also stated that this championship will mark the start of a new series of tournaments organized by the company. BASED Esports promised to provide details on the competition format, the exact list of participants, and the prize pool distribution in subsequent official announcements.

Previously, BASED Esports, in partnership with 1win, announced a series of LAN tournaments collectively titled 1win VRS Club. As part of this collaboration, two championships are planned in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, each with an identical prize pool of $100,000 per stage.
