BetBoom Storm #5 and #6 were canceled following the ban on bookmakers in Brazil

Dust2 Brasil, the organizer of the BetBoom Storm Counter-Strike 2 tournaments, announced the cancellation of the two remaining championships in the 2026 series. The information was posted on Dust2’s official website.

BetBoom Storm #5 and BetBoom Storm #6 were scheduled to take place in late 2026. However, Dust2 Brasil stated that the events have been canceled due to circumstances beyond the organizers’ control.

The tournaments were canceled after Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed a decree in late September that completely bans the operations of sportsbooks and online casinos in the country.

Earlier, the BetBoom Storm #4 tournament concluded, with Imperial Esports taking first place. The team defeated Keyd Stars 2-0 in the grand final and earned $5,000 in prize money.
