BLAST has announced a CS2 tournament in Mongolia—the BLAST Premier Open Ulaanbaatar 2027

Tournament organizer BLAST has announced the BLAST Premier Open Ulaanbaatar 2027—the first Premier Series tournament in Mongolia. The Counter-Strike 2 championship, with a prize pool of $1,250,000, will take place from May 10 to 23, 2027, in Ulaanbaatar. The announcement was published on the tournament operator’s official website.

Sixteen teams will participate in the tournament, with a total prize pool of $1,250,000. Eleven teams will receive direct invitations based on Valve’s global rankings, while the remaining five will be determined through regional qualifiers. Europe, North America, and South America will each receive one slot, and since the tournament will be held in Asia, that region will receive two slots.

Closed qualifiers will take place from April 16 to 18, 2027. Invitations to the main tournament and regional qualifiers will be sent out on March 2 based on the VRS global ranking as of March 1. 

Earlier, BLAST published the list of participants for the BLAST Open Porto 2026. Among the teams set to compete in the tournament are Team Spirit, Team Falcons, Team Vitality, Natus Vincere, and BetBoom Team. The championship kicks off on August 24.
