bobeksde: “I feel very comfortable at Alliance.”

Alliance rifler Jonathan “bobeksde” Persson spoke in an interview at the XSE Pro League 2026 about his form, the support he receives from the organization, his preparation for matches, and the upcoming semifinal game against 9z Team.
On his performance at the tournament
I wouldn’t say it’s specifically about the experience I’ve gained. Although the experience I got at the Major in Bucharest and at the BLAST tournament also played a role. But I also feel very comfortable at Alliance. I can do whatever I want. I have a lot of freedom. I had that on my previous team too, but now I feel even better.
On support from the club
Alliance provides us with excellent support. The coach, the manager, and everyone else—right up to the head of the organization—are here with us. They really support us.
On the loss on Nuke in the match against Team Nemesis
I don’t want to say too much about our map pool, but we haven’t had much time to practice on this map yet. So between maps, we just talked it over and accepted that this isn’t our best map right now. At the same time, we knew we had our two most comfortable maps coming up—maps we’d already played in this tournament. So we just needed to mentally reset.
On the semifinal against 9z Team
We know we can beat 9z Team. They’re a really strong team, and they proved it at the Major. But we’re feeling great. We’ve already beaten them once. So we believe—at least I believe—that we can do it again.
Earlier, Alliance defeated Team Nemesis 2–1 in maps in the quarterfinals of the XSE Pro League 2026. Tomorrow, Jonathan “bobeksde” Persson’s team will face off in a match to advance to the championship final.
