In an interview at BLAST Open Porto 2026, DENDELE CS coach Elder “coachi” Sancho analyzed his team’s losses to Team Spirit and Aurora Gaming and assessed the Brazilian squad’s current form.
Often, many people just look at the score and don’t actually watch the matches themselves. The game against Spirit was very close. We lost all the pistol rounds, and on top of that, donk was on fire. Our team won most of the first buy rounds and played with confidence. I think we definitely had a chance to beat Spirit or at least take one of the maps.
Today’s situation was very similar. On Cache, we won all the first buy rounds but gave up a full eco. That map was much closer than the 7:13 score suggests. Then our team should have won on Mirage, but we failed to capitalize on a 5v3 situation and lost in overtime. Overall, it was a tense match. Now Aurora will take their matches against us more seriously.
Right now, we get really nervous at crucial moments. My players are still making mistakes—they’re very young and inexperienced. I think we need to participate in Tier 1 tournaments more often, although that’s pretty difficult right now due to the high level of competition within the South American region. Nevertheless, our team is capable of putting up a serious fight against top opponents. We’ll gain experience and become even stronger.
DENDELE CS lost to Aurora Gaming in a group stage match at BLAST Open Porto 2026 with a 0–2 map score (7–13 on Cache and 12–16 on Mirage). The team finished the tournament in 13th–16th place and earned $20,000.
