American actor Ben Affleck shared his experience playing VALORANT against younger, more skilled players on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
I really like VALORANT—it’s a great game. The only problem is with the kids who’ve been playing since they were little. They just wipe the floor with me, and I start getting angry: “Are you guys cheating, you little shits?” “Go to hell, loser,” an 11-year-old voice replies. It’s really humiliating, but the game is great.
On the podcast *New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce*, Affleck also talked about playing *Fortnite* and his son’s request to buy expensive in-game bundles:
My son was obsessed with Fortnite; he was constantly playing it. And I know my way around games—I’ve played first-person shooters—and I thought I was pretty good. Then some 12-year-old takes you out—I try to back off, shoot, and die right away. Then they even mock you:
“You’re a wimp, go screw yourself.”
— You go to hell—I’m a grown man!
Getting back to my son… You realize you’re getting old when he shows off a skin and says how cool he is. “Is that ‘cool’? A rabbit hat?” Or someone has a Tun Tun Tuna skin. Is that what’s “cool”? There are all kinds of different and unusual costumes. And for Christmas, he asked for $300 worth of skins.
— Aren’t they even real? Just for wearing in the game?
— But they’re a limited edition!
— That’s total nonsense...
Details about Act 6 of the 2026 season in VALORANT have been revealed. Players will gain access to a menu with a map ranking system to assess their skill level. The update will be available on European servers on October 14.
