FUT Esports coach András “coolio” Ferchak took to his personal X account to ask Valve to reconsider the rules for awarding in-game stickers for the PGL Major Singapore 2026.
This situation makes no sense. SunPayus has been representing FUT Esports for two months now and is being denied his Major sticker simply because he is one match short of meeting the requirements. At the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, we were up 2-0 and could have influenced the outcome of the match against Team Vitality to meet the requirements, but instead we chose to compete fairly. Both SunPayus and cmtry deserve an exception that would allow them to qualify for the Major with their teams. The rules should never punish players for acting honorably. Please reconsider this decision.
The situation with apEX is yet another clear example of just how unfair these rules can be. After everything he’s done for Team Vitality, he’s being stripped of his Major sticker simply because he became a father and couldn’t attend a single tournament, while jL will receive the sticker in his place. I have nothing against jL, but how does this even make sense? These rules need exceptions. Players shouldn’t be penalized because of circumstances like this.
It was previously reported that Álvaro “SunPayus” García will not receive a sticker for the PGL Major Singapore 2026 because, after transferring from G2 Esports, he played only four official matches for FUT Esports instead of the required five. Therefore, the sticker will go to Nikita “cmtry” Samoletov, who, according to VRS rules, remains on the team’s roster. Additionally, Team Vitality captain Dan “apEX” Madeskler may not receive a sticker due to missing the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026; the sticker should go to Justinas “jL” Lekavičius, who played more than five matches for the team at the tournament.
