Counter-Strike 2 Update from July 21, 2026: Changes to the C4 Explosion Shockwave

On the night of July 21, Valve released an update for Counter-Strike 2, adding new interactions between C4 explosions and in-game objects, updating several Community Workshop maps, and making changes to the Steam China version of the game.

Gameplay
- A preview of C4 explosion damage is now displayed when the bomb becomes audible.
- C4 explosions now interact with smoke clouds and fire from Molotov cocktails and incendiary grenades.
Maps
- Fachwerk, Boulder, and Debris have been updated to the latest version from the community workshop.
Miscellaneous
- A section featuring Workshop maps has been added to the “Play” menu in the Steam China version of Counter-Strike.
- A quick link to the community server list has been added to the “Play” menu in the Steam China version of Counter-Strike.
The previous Counter-Strike 2 update was released on July 15—at that time, the developers updated several Community Workshop maps and implemented various fixes related to the game’s stability and security.
