Counter-Strike 2’s performance improved after the Rush Hour update
Data miner Avi “Thour” Thour conducted a Counter-Strike 2 performance test on his personal X account following the release of the major “Rush Hour” update.
With this week’s Rush Hour update, VRAM usage in CS2 decreased by 30%, while RAM usage increased by up to 20%.
Average FPS: 899.9 vs. 911.4 (+1.27%).
1% low: 299.5 vs. 302.7 (+1.06%).
VRAM: 4.07 GB vs. 2.78 GB (-31.69%).
RAM: 2.97 GB vs. 3.47 GB (+16.83%).
On September 23, Valve released a major update, “Rush Hour,” for Counter-Strike 2. The update added a new “Rush” mode, a system for raising pet chickens, and the ability to reload weapons silently.
