There was a small update to CS2 last night!
It’s not that it’s unimportant, but you definitely wouldn’t have noticed the difference. The Source 2 engine was updated. Dota 2 received almost the same update, but with one key difference. In CS2, a network class has been added to every weapon and in-game event. In Dota 2, however, this class was added specifically to its events. It’s needed for external interaction and collecting data from the game. We can speculate that they’re trying to fix the VACNET issue, where honest players get banned because of a specific weapon. But we can’t know for sure! In theory, there should be another update this week.
Earlier, on the night of October 21, Valve released an update for Counter-Strike 2 that affected the client libraries, the game’s server files for Windows and Linux, and the digital signature file.
