FalleN on retiring: “Everything has a beginning and an end; I understand that.”
FURIA captain Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, in an interview at BLAST Bounty Summer 2026, shared his outlook on the current season and answered a question about retiring.
On his mindset for the season
I’d like to perform well this season so we can end it on a positive note. Right now, I’m doing everything I can; there are a lot of tournaments ahead that I’m really looking forward to. ...> I hope we’ll perform well this season and be able to win some trophies.
On Retiring
Sometimes I don’t want to keep playing, and other times I want to play more. It varies, but that’s just how it is. We need to keep moving forward. However, everything has a beginning and an end—I understand that. Right now, I’m trying to be a great player for my team, play well, and help them win.
On Tier 2 teams
Tier-2 teams are currently trying to break into the top tier. As I always say in interviews, they’re not that far from reaching a level where they can beat the best teams and lift trophies.
Earlier, FURIA finished BLAST Bounty Summer 2026 in 17th–32nd place, losing to DENDELE CS. On the first map, Anubis, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo’s team lost 6–13 but managed to bounce back on Mirage with a 13–6 victory. However, the Brazilian squad ultimately lost Cache 14–16.
