Aurora Gaming captain Damian “kyxsan” Stoilkowski and Team Vitality rifler Shahar “flameZ” Shushan shared their thoughts ahead of the ESL Pro League Season 24 semifinal match.
kyxsan compared the coaching styles of Ashley “ashhh” Batier and Danny “zonic” Sorensen:
I think they’re both excellent coaches, but they focus on different things. ashhh is more focused on helping the team from the inside, while zonic is better at bringing the team together and making it strong. So, they both have their strengths, but they’re different as coaches.
For his part, flameZ explained how kyxsan’s arrival affected Aurora Gaming’s play:
I don’t think the team started playing a completely different style of Counter-Strike. The team has always been aggressive on defense, and we’ve always had some strange matches against them. Sometimes we played Ancient, and every time the match turned out to be somewhat inconsistent against that Turkish roster. Right now, the team’s play feels almost the same, though their aggression on defense is a bit different.
Right now, Team Vitality and Aurora Gaming are playing a match in the semifinals of ESL Pro League Season 24. On the first map, Anubis, Dan “apEX” Madeskler’s team lost 7–13, and on Cache, the battle for a spot in the tournament’s grand final continues.
