Fragbite has announced the return of the annual Svenska Cupen Counter-Strike 2 championship. The fifth season of Sweden’s largest national tournament will traditionally kick off in mid-fall, with the final stage taking place in Stockholm.
The tournament will begin with open qualifiers in October 2026. Absolutely all Swedish players, regardless of skill level, will be able to participate in the qualifiers, allowing casual players to compete for a spot in the final stage from home.
The final stage of the competition will take place from December 16 to 19, 2026, as a LAN championship with spectators in the arena in Stockholm. The total prize pool for the national cup will be 300,000 Swedish kronor (approximately $29,100).
The Svenska Cupen retains its status as the most prestigious and highest-paying national tournament on the Swedish Counter-Strike scene. Last season’s championship concluded in November 2025 in Stockholm, where Alliance emerged as the winner and claimed the top prize of 150,000 Swedish kronor (approximately $14,550), after defeating Metizport in the final.
