The Esports World Cup 2027 will take place in Riyadh

The organizers of the Esports World Cup issued a press release announcing that the championship will return to Saudi Arabia in 2027.

According to a statement from the Esports Foundation, this decision was not contingent on the performance of the EWC 2026. The tournament in Paris saw a 13% increase in the engaged audience and a 26% jump in total viewing time compared to 2025. Despite the event’s return to Riyadh, the organizers plan to continue their collaboration with the French Ministry of Sports, Youth, and Civic Life.

Esports Foundation 2026 took place from July 2 to August 23 in Paris. The tournament featured competitions in 25 disciplines, and the championship’s total prize pool was $75,000,000. AG.AL emerged as the winner of the LAN event in the club category.
