FURIA and Team Vitality secured victories in their opening matches at the Esports World Cup 2026 for CS2

FURIA and Team Vitality won their first matches at the 2026 Esports World Cup.

In the first match, FURIA defeated Wildcard on the Inferno map with a score of 13-10. In a parallel match, Team Vitality proved stronger than 100 Thieves on Nuke, winning 13-4.

As a result, FURIA and Team Vitality will play tomorrow for a spot in the Esports World Cup 2026 playoffs, while Wildcard and 100 Thieves have been relegated to the lower brackets of their respective groups.

The Esports World Cup 2026 for Counter-Strike 2 is taking place from August 12 to 23 in Paris, France. A total of 32 teams are competing in the tournament for a $2,000,000 prize pool and 3,350 EWC Club Championship points.
