hypex on playing for GamerLegion: “This is exactly what I’ve dreamed of my whole life.”
GamerLegion sniper Milan “hypex” Polovets, in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, summed up the first matches of the tournament and spoke about his relationship with the team and his goals for the event.
On the match against BetBoom Team
We didn’t play like we usually do in that game. It was a strange day for all of us: it felt like we were hearing the information, but we weren’t reacting to it at all. The coach was unhappy with our performance, as were we. But we all talked it over that evening, so we’re ready to fight again.
On playing for GamerLegion
Ever since I joined GamerLegion, I’ve been incredibly excited—this is exactly what I’ve dreamed of my whole life. I want to compete and give it my all, adapt as a player, and hopefully we can go as far as possible in the tournament; I’m trying to help the guys.
In the first stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, GamerLegion lost to BetBoom Team, allowing the Russian team to advance to the second stage of the tournament. However, the team later advanced to the next stage as well, defeating BIG.
