karrigan on his performance: “I can’t get back to the individual level I had three or four years ago.”
Team Falcons captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen and Ninjas in Pyjamas IGL Karim “Krimbo” Moussa gave interviews at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026 ahead of their teams’ match.
karrigan assessed his team’s recent results and his own performance:
We’ve performed poorly in recent tournaments and are trying to change our approach to the game. <...> I’m trying to apply all the captaincy skills I’ve acquired throughout my career. You have to accept that there are sometimes difficult periods—it happens to every pro player. <...> I can’t get back to the individual level I was at three or four years ago, but I can help my team in other ways.
For his part, Krimbo spoke about the training process:
We trained for a week, and the rest of the time we played official matches. I like that we’re able to adapt on the fly, improve, and work on our mistakes right in official games. <...> Without a doubt, Team Falcons is a strong team—one of the best in the world. Even if they’ve had poor results in past tournaments, they can still win this championship. In a match against an opponent like this, we have nothing to lose: we just need to enjoy the game and get back to Tier 1.
The match between the teams at the 2026 Thunderpick World Championship is happening right now: as of this writing, Team Falcons leads the series 1–0. The winner will face 9z Team and compete for a spot in the playoffs, while the loser will face Aurora Gaming in a elimination match.
