INS: “We had a long boot camp where we worked on all our mistakes.”

FlyQuest captain Joshua “INS” Potter, in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, assessed the match against THUNDERdOWNUNDER, which took place on the third day of the tournament, and also spoke about his team’s preparation for the event.
On the match against THUNDERdOWNUNDER
First and foremost, we probably felt relieved that we didn’t lose to them, because we’re considered the top team in the region. It was especially nice to get the win, especially after yesterday. We played better, but we still have a lot of work to do.
On the maps
We feel comfortable playing these three maps [Anubis, Inferno, and Dust2. — Ed.]. We knew it would be like this. In theory, they could have picked Nuke, but they aren’t entirely comfortable on it.
On aggressive play on Inferno
These days, many Tier 1 teams play this way. We try to stay one step ahead of our opponents. So we were confident, just as you said—we weren’t playing to avoid losing, but to win.
On preparation
We had a long boot camp where we worked on all our mistakes to build our confidence. So we have no excuses. It wasn’t a perfect season, but we did everything we could, and we’re ready to move forward.
On the third day of the IEM Cologne Major 2026, FlyQuest defeated THUNDERdOWNUNDER 2-0—13-10 on Anubis and 13-3 on Inferno. As a result of the match, Alister “aliStair” Johnston’s team was eliminated from the tournament.
